The Kampala Children’s Centre in Uganda currently provides so much to so many, but a critical piece has been missing. A well-equipped, modern medical centre!. The Destiny Medical Centre for Hope and Wellness will provide the staff and children at the centre, local families and the community of Wakiso with curative and preventive care, dental care, immunisations, minor procedures, eye care, family planning, medications and health education. Too many lives are lost due to lack of or inadequate medical care.

Uganda’s burden of disease is dominated by communicable diseases, which account for over 50% of illness and death. Malaria, HIV/AIDS, TB and respiratory diseases, diarrhoeal, epidemic-prone and vaccine-preventable diseases are the leading causes of illness and death. There is also a growing burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) including mental health disorders and cardiovascular disease.

When the clinic opens it will offer:
- general outpatient care
- dispensing of medication
- dental clinic
- eye clinic
- antenatal clinic
- family planning clinic
- postnatal care
- paediatric immunisations
- laboratory facilities
